Phi Alpha Delta was founded in 1902 and has since grown rapidly with over 650 chartered chapters and 330,000 members worldwide. As the world’s preeminent law fraternity, P.A.D. unites students and teachers of the law with members of the Bench and Bar under the ideals of compassion, courage, diversity, innovation, integrity, professionalism, and service in the name of the legal profession and community. 

Under P.A.D.'s Pre-Law Program, the UVA Pre-Law Chapter assists undergraduate students in making an informed decision about pursuing a legal career, deciding which law school to attend, and preparing for law school while fostering a supportive community of undergraduate students passionate about the legal field.
